Villa Orismala
In Isokyrö, between Vaasa and Seinäjoki, Western Finland
Peaceful countryside home · Work stays and holidays in Ostrobothnia
A quiet base in Western Finland
Villa Orismala welcomes work teams, project crews, families and travellers who prefer the calm of a private home to a hotel room. The house sits in open countryside on the outskirts of Isokyrö village, close to the region's key industrial areas — Vaasa energy cluster, GigaVaasa, and Wärtsilä — while offering the peace that makes long stays and short holidays alike genuinely restful.
The property has hosted teams from Finnish and international companies working on energy, construction and industrial projects across Ostrobothnia, as well as families and couples exploring Western Finland or stopping en route between Sweden and Southern Finland.
Villa Orismala is a fully renovated 1940s log house in Isokyrö that accommodates 6 guests in two bedrooms.
A 1940s log home, fully renovated
Villa Orismala is a traditional Finnish log home (hirsitalo) from the 1940s, fully renovated between 2017 and 2022. The interior combines the character of thick timber walls with modern comfort — two heat pumps, a heat-retaining fireplace downstairs, a second fireplace upstairs, and thoughtful lighting throughout.
Downstairs
The living heart of the house — a well-equipped kitchen, spacious dining room, living room with heat-retaining fireplace, bathroom, and indoor electric sauna. Where work teams gather in the evening and families spend rainy afternoons.
Upstairs
Two spacious bedrooms with three double beds in total — sleeping places for six. Upstairs also has a second fireplace, a reading nook, and a WC. In summer a games room with Stiga air hockey is available.
Extra beds
Extra beds are available from the outdoor sauna and elsewhere in the house if the party prefers to arrange sleeping places differently.
Heating and cooling
Two heat pumps ensure a comfortable temperature year-round — including on hot summer days.
Villa Orismala is a 45-minute drive from Vaasa city center and 6 kilometres from Kyrö Distillery.
Sauna, hot tub, and the closeness of nature
The yard extends the house into the surrounding countryside. A covered terrace faces the garden, a gazebo offers shade for summer meals, and the outdoor wood-fired sauna sits at the far edge of the property — the traditional Finnish way, with a wood-heated hot tub beside it.
Both gas and charcoal grills are available on the terrace. In summer, guests use the yard for meals, evening drinks, and quiet reading. In winter, the same yard becomes a snow-covered clearing with the sauna glowing warmly at the end of a path.
The bicycle shed has a bicycle, tennis and badminton rackets, mölkky, a dartboard, and other outdoor equipment for guests. The hot tub is included in the rental — pre-heating is available as an add-on (filling takes about 2.5 hours and heating 3–6 hours depending on the season).
Use of the hot tub is included in the rental price.
